Q: Is the Tattoo Armor Precision Sunscreen Pen FDA Approved?
A: Yes! Our SPF 30 formulation is 100% approved by the Federal Drug Administration.
Q: Why do I need protection for my tattoo?
A: Ultraviolet rays from the sun will fade and eventually distort the image of your tattoo. Tattoos do last forever, but require minor maintenance in order to maintain its color.
Q: What are the advantages to using your product compared to traditional sunscreen?
A: Traditional sunscreens are made and marketed to the general population. Tattoo Armor products are made specifically for tattoo individuals. Our products block both UVA/ UVB rays from the sun while providing users a hands free way of applying sunscreen. Additionally, our emollient-based formulation gives your tattoo a nice fresh shine!
Q: But aren’t the newer inks on the market now more resistant to fading?
A: It is true that tattoo ink has been updated in the last few years to a more fade-resistant formula. However, there is nothing strong enough to keep the sun’s ultra violet rays from fading your tattoo.
Q: What if I have a bigger tattoo and need a larger application?
A: Our goal at Tattoo Armor is to constantly develop and launch new and improved product lines. We are in the process of developing a product made for persons with larger tattoos. Please check back with us shortly or sign up for our updates for new product developments and special pricing.
Q: How often do I need to reapply Tattoo Armor to my tattoos?
A: Like regular sunscreen, our product should be reapplied every few hours or anytime it’s effectiveness may have been diminished by water or excessive sweat.
Q: Is Tattoo Armor PABA free?
A: Yes.
Q: Does the Precision Sunscreen Pen block both UVA and UVB rays?
A: Yes.
Q: Will the Precision Sunscreen Pen actually make my tattoo look better?
A: Yes! Our formula provides a healthy gloss that enhances the color of your tattoo when applied.
Q: Can I use the Tattoo Armor Precision Sunscreen Pen on a new healing tattoo?
A: No. All new tattoos should remain covered from sunlight and free of any sunscreen until they are fully healed. This process usually takes 2-3 weeks.
